We spent less than $50 on all of the gear in the bag and it weighs approximately 10 pounds which I think is exceptionally light for the versatility of the kit. I certainly hope you all enjoyed this project as much as I did. I feel that it offered am opportunity to closely consider all of your basic prepping options at a very basic level.This kit was not intended to be a "Ultimate 72 Hour Kit" but was intended to illustrate your most basic options. If needed you could make this as a baseline kit and add superior kit items as need or as you could afford them.
